After taking home the belt after beating Eddie Mustafa Muhammad, Michael would then go on to have one of the most successful boxing careers of any boxers and is considered one of the greatest lightweight champions the sport has ever seen. Michael is a member of the Class of 2017 Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame Inductee Class with his brother, Leon Spinks.
